'Actually'

As I understand it—and, disclaimer, I don’t understand anything—there are objections to the transgender cultural turn, that get made either by or on behalf of (some) gays and lesbians, who feel that the whole thing is a kind of conversion therapy. Idea being, little boys who wear dresses are actually just gay, but are now being told they’re little girls. More on the “actually” in a moment, thus the post title.
